Sixteen year old Kevin Nguyen, God willing, will live to see his 17th birthday in early March...Prognosis beyond that is not good...Kevin suffers from a life threatening illness called Hyper ImG, a genetic disease that affects his immune system. The condition has already taken the lives of his two brothers in the last two years, an older brother and a younger brother. I've spent time over the past five years trying to find the right bone marrow donor who could save the lives of the three brothers. ...It did not happen... These days, I spend time reading to Kevin, praying for him and with him. To give him assurance that Jesus knows him, loves him and will always be with him. Time is so precious and I never know if the few minutes I spend with him will be the last. But, I know it makes a difference. If you are a Common Grace mentor, you also know that you are making a difference in the life of a child and in the end, GOD will be glorified!
