What Are Partnerships?

In A Partner School:

Teachers, counselors, administrators and office staff all understand the Common Grace (CG) vision and do their part to welcome CG mentors (trained volunteers) who come to campus to befriend the children.

A “School Coordinator” works enthusiastically to identify kids in need of attention, match them with available CG mentors, monitor the matches, and assess the progress and outcome of the matches.

The principal communicates with each parent/guardian to obtain permission for their child to meet with a CG mentor (“Auntie” or “Uncle”).

Quiet places, such as the library, corner of the cafeteria, etc.,  are designated where CG mentors and kids can meet.

Space for volunteer training is offered on an as-needed basis.

In A Partner Church:

Leaders and members all understand the Common Grace (CG) vision and do their part to send CG mentors (trained volunteers)  to the neighborhood public elementary school to befriend the children.

A “Church Coordinator” works enthusiastically to recruit volunteers, assist in their training, monitor the matches, assess the progress and outcome of the matches, and encourage the volunteers.

The pastor gets involved by being friends with the school principal, visiting some school staff meetings, and praying for the church members and school kids.  (All CG pastors attend a CG training event and are encouraged to also serve as CG mentors)

“Common Grace Sunday” is planned to commission and support the “Uncles” and “Aunties”.  Testimonies may be heard and a special offering for Common Grace may be received.

Space for CG functions is offered on an as-needed basis.
